Organic Double Whipped Lavender and Patchouli Body Butter

Ingredients: Shea butter, coconut oil, mango butter, olive oil, lavender and patchouli essential oil.

Shea butter comes from the mangifolia, or karite nut tree which is indigenous to West and Central Africa. Rich in fatty acids, shea butter protects the skin and locks in moisture. It has a buttery texture which easily soaks into the skin. Shea butter is rich in vitamin E and also contains vitamins A, D and F. Shea butter is not only used as a moisturizer but has had great results with insect bites, diaper rash, eczema and psoriasis. 

Coconut oil is packed full of antioxidants and is used in many of my natural beauty products, and for good reason: It's naturally antibacterial and antifungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer, it can penetrate better than other oils, and, well, it smells like cookies.

Mango butter is rich on oleic acid and stearic acid. These fatty acids acts as emollients that soften and soothe the skin and hair. It has a high oxidative ability, wound healing and regenerative activity. It is high in antioxidants and Vitamins A, C and E.

The cold pressed extra virgin olive oil I use is full of antioxidants including the skin enhancing vitamin E. 


The aroma of this butter is very calming as lavender is a nervine and helps to ease nervous tension, the properties of the oils are aphrodisiac, antibacterial, antiviral, analgesic and both work well as an insecticide (so good to put on if you're bothered by insects at home or abroad). It is antibacterial, anti fungal and full of antioxidants which fight free radicals and slow down effects of ageing, it is superfood for your skin that nourishes, repairs and protects. Very good for dry skin and you only need to use about a quarter of what you would a normal moisturiser as a little goes a long way!

Store away from sunlight or heat. 

These products will melt if they're placed somewhere too hot and whist this does not affect the efficiency of the products the whipped consistency will change, this may be something to consider if ordering from a hot country as transit temperatures may have an effect...if this happens put into fridge until the butter becomes solid again.
